Jaren LaGreca, MD

Jaren LaGreca, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon with expertise treating a wide variety of injuries involving the shoulder, hip, and knee. As a lifelong athlete, Dr. LaGreca understands the adversity and hardship associated with injury and is devoted to helping patients return to their prior activity levels and passions in life.

Dr. LaGreca has had the privilege of treating both professional and elite college athletes – including the Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL), Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL), University of Pittsburgh Men’s Soccer (NCAA Div. 1), and Carnegie Mellon University Football (NCAA Div. 3). He has continued his enthusiasm for supporting athletics in the Farmington area by providing medical coverage for local teams. From professional to high school athletes, and every stage in between, Dr. LaGreca recognizes the importance of developing a unique treatment approach to help each patient achieve their future goals. He is an advocate for patient-centered medicine, ensuring that each patient is actively involved and engaged in the decision-making process surrounding their care.

Dr. LaGreca received his Bachelors degree from Harvard University. He subsequently attended medical school at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he was the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship. Following medical school, Dr. LaGreca completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Minnesota and attended the prestigious Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh. He joined Orthopedic Associates P.A. after completing his fellowship in 2024, and has been honored to provide care to the exceptional patients of the Four Corners region ever since.

During his medical training, Dr. LaGreca conducted extensive research within the field of orthopedic medicine, resulting in multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, presentations at national and international conferences, and authorship of academic book chapters on best practices in orthopedic medicine. In his current practice, Dr. LaGreca employs an evidence-based approach to patient care, attending conferences and staying up-to-date on current research and medical literature to ensure his patients’ achieve their best possible outcomes. He is also a current member of several orthopedic societies, including the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), American Academy of Orthopedics Society (AAOS), and is Board Eligible for the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS).

Outside of patient care, Dr. LaGreca spends as much time as he can skiing, mountain biking, and exploring the beautiful Four Corners region with his wife, Emily.
